4 bike carrier for trailer hitch 4 by .. James M. Cook (Florida)
Does what it is supposed to do. Good that it comes with stabilizing straps. I have had this model carrier before (different manufacturer). Good value for the money if maintained properly.

Not as stable as more expensive models 3 by .. V. Byram ()
It is not as sturdy as more expensive items, but we seldom will use it, so for us the good price was the most important factor. We were thrilled it arrived so quickly for a trip out of state. We carried three adult bikes about 400 miles round trip. The carrier had a lot of sway, but it held up fine. For the trip home we did add some washers from the hardware store to tighten up at the hitch and decrease the sway.

You get what you pay for 3 by .. Amy J. Farris (Hammond, IN)
Pros - price, easy to install, does pivot for access to cargo area of truck

Cons - cheaply made, had it less than a day before one of the endcaps had a screw fall out, have to replace that or unit is not usable because tie downs will slide right off the end. No wobble in the part that mounts to the hitch, but the rack itself bounces fairly severely with only one bike on it. After seeing product, no way would I trust the weight of 4 bikes on it. Pivot joint can be hard to realign to get cotter pin back in place, not something that can be done quickly usually.

Overall, if you want a rack that you only expect to use occasionally, or to last for a season (maybe 2), then this is an option. If you are a serious bike enthusiast or have a very expensive ride, would not recommend.

Quality lacking 2 by .. Scott Bute ()
I took a shot on the bike carrier because it was low priced and seemed to have what we were looking for. While the carrier will be adequate, I was really disappointed in the workmanship. I have been a welder for 30 years. I can see by the construction that it will not fall apart, but the paint job and the overall design were poor.

Don't Waste Your Money 1 by .. J. Plemon ()
I bought this same rack from the same company on Ebay for less than 50 bucks, so I thought I got a great deal on a bike rack. First of all, it does not fit very well into your hitch receiver AT ALL. I tried to remedy this with some better washers and a few well-placed holes in the unit with more bolts and washers at the base of the rack. So, I put two bikes on the rack and headed to Wisconsin for a camping trip. However, we got 10 miles down the road and the rack wobbled so much I couldn't believe it. So I pulled over and the two top frame pieces were twisted!!! Mind you, this is nowhere near the place I added the extra holes and bolts, so that had nothing to do with it. And I only had two bikes on the rack! I had to turn around and go home to drop the bikes off! I tried to call this guy and he didn't return my calls or emails. I have bought literally hundreds of things on amazon.com and [...] and I have NEVER been wronged so badly on a product. It is built with cheap materials (which is why it bent under the weight of two bikes) and the craftsmanship is appalling (hence the horrible fit into my hitch). I threw 45 bucks in the garbage with this rack. Don't make the same mistake I did.
