Customer reviews
What a deal!
by .. John W. Bradshaw (Allen, TX)
I inially gave the company and basket a bad rap. I do hereby retract the bad review and add that I am thrilled to do business with a company that CARES! They called me to fix the problem and stuck with me via email until I was happy. In my experience - a rare thing. The basket is a jewel, the quick-release works easily & every time. Good buy, great customer service. Highly recommend Bike-and-Go.
Larger than I thought

When I pulled out the basket from the box it was larger than I had imagined. Not that it is a bad thing just got a little more space than I was expecting. The instructions we not too helpful, but it took me about 10 minutes to assemble the whole thing. The latch for the basket was a little different from other baskets I have looked at(in a store) but not hard at all to put on. Like other bike basket reviewers, I had to take off the front reflector. But I my bike had another place on the front where I could mount it so not an issue. I did use some first aid white fabric tape down on the handle bar where the bracket was going, just to help it grip and not slide forward like some reviewers mentioned. Seems to be working since my basket it staying in place nicely. I haven't put a lot of weight(over ten pounds) in the basket, but I think putting the fabric tape on first would help anyone. I didn't tighten the screws overly tight either, since I read somewhere that they had stripped the holes of the plastic trying to get the bracket to stay straight. Again two strips of first aid/athletic tape does a world of good.
So far a great addition for me since I don't have to load up my pockets anymore, or leave things behind because I just can't carry it all with me when I ride.
Broke on 3rd ride
by .. Sasquatch (New Orleans, LA)
Great price. Nice looking. Relatively easy install (though there were no instructions included). However, the plastic supports are not strong enough for the metal basket. The way the basket works is that the metal basket slides into a plastic bracket and locks in--kind of like a seat belt, in a way. However, the parts of the plastic that attach to the metal are not very strong. On my 3rd ride, with something in the basket, I hit a bump, and the shock caused the basket to fall off. All 4 pieces of the basket had snapped. Honestly, this is not a basket designed for real use. Go with something that latches on more securely or permanently.
