Excellent bike for the price!
by .. Martin J. Edwards ()
We went all over town to buy a 20" 6 speed bicycle for our 7 yr old daughter. Kmart was the only place that had one, but the one they had was the last one and the rear wheel was bent on it. They weren't getting any more in for almost 3 weeks. [..]- Great, we'll take one! It arrived yesterday and didn't have a scratch on it. Took about 20 minutes to put it all together and then another 10 minutes to adjust the seat height, handle bar height and angle, and then to adjust the brake levers. The derailer needed a little adjustment that took my wife and I about 30 minutes to accomplish. The book that came with the bike gave very good instructions on how to make all the adjustments and I learned something new, so it wasn't all that bad. The bike looks very nice, shifts nice and is just nice all the way around for only [..]. I would recommend this bike to anyone!
nice bike for the price

I bought this for my 9 y/o sister who is 5'2." She said that it is a little big for her, but she is able to ride it. She likes the bike a lot and has been very happy with it. For the price, I think its is a very good value.
Great Bike for the price...

This little bike was a steal for the ptice. The packaging arrived in very good condition. the bike itself was very easy to put together. It took me about 20 minutes to get everything done.
The bike's finish was flawless with no scratches. The best indicator was when my little girl rode it. The smile on her face is the final arbiter. I recommend this bike if your budget does not allow for the pricier biclycles around.
Bottom line: worth the investment.
Good starter bike with gears

We bought this as the first bike for my 7-yr old daughter. It was not packaged well -- the paint was chipped and the rear tire had a flat. Putting it together was easy - every thing is pre-assembled except handle, pedals, seat and front tire. It took 30 mins to do including adjusting the breaks (I didn't bother adjusting the gears as she will be using it as a single speed bike for the first couple of months while she learns). Fixing the flat meant a trip to the k-mart. I couldn't easily find the dimensions of this bike in the description or else where -- as a reference, I needed to set the seat to its lowest point for my 53" daughter. She has been using this for the last 1 week and it seems to be holding up well so far to a few crashes - including running into a wall when she forgot to use the brakes. I am hopeful that it will hold up for another 2 years until she outgrows it.
Great value

Purchased for 8-year old daughter, who is not quite ready for a 24" mountain bike, but wanted a 5+ speed bike. There are not many options in the 20" style for under $150. She loves the bike and has no complaints at all while riding (other than the hard seat after riding for awhile).
Very easy to setup for anyone with average mechanical ability. The toughest part is to adjust the front and rear brakes so they don't drag on the rims. Overall, a good bike for the money, and we expect to get 2-4 years out of it before moving up to a larger bike.
