Ultimate? - Yes 5 by .. dthurney (San Antonio, TX USA)
Have tried numerous head bands over the years and the Gutr is the best by far. It is basically a thin rubber like strap with a lip (gutter) that catches sweat running off your forehead and channels it down the sides of your face so that it does not get in your eyes.

It is very light weight and has a low profile. It is thin all the way around and not wider than your smallest finger. This combination is a must have for cyclists because it also does not interfere with your helmet. It attaches in the back with a simple pony tail style rubber band and velcro adjustment for a custom fit.

Because they are not made of fabric they don't saturate with sweat - meaning that if you sweat a lot or exercise for a long period - it still functions without dripping in your eyes later on. (I have some head bands made of wicking material that I really like but even they quit working for me after a long work out.) You also don't have to wash this head band - just rinse it off.

Minor drawbacks are that you can't easily adjust the fit while exercising. The trick is to get it where you like it and leave it that way. When you first try it you want to make it overly tight but you'll discover that it stays put - without needing a lot of tension - too much tension just causes a headache. If you're a cyclist you will probably want to loosen your helment band to acommodate the strap underneath the back of your helmet as well - if you don't the band will rest uncomfortably on your ears after a long ride.

Works amazingly well (caveat: not for all activities) 5 by .. blairsyprofane (Chicago)
This simple plastic (or whatever) head band works far better than I was expecting. Other headbands have been effective but only to a certain point. For example, the cloth headbands I have used kept the sweat off my face but would become saturated halfway through my workout. Another problem I've had is bands that are tight and give me a headache. The sweat gutr solves the problem of saturation by channeling the sweat to the side and is easily adjustable for most head types. My head is on the big side and I was worried when I read some of the reviews. The three different size bands made fitting the gutr easy. I'm not trying to be insulting, but you would have to have a pretty big head for this not to fit.
I get distracted easily when I workout but the gutr has helped me focus more. Seems like a stretch, but for me not having to wipe my face every few minutes helps me to concentrate on my workout and "get in the zone."
I have mostly used the gutr for running, outside and on a treadmill. Sometimes I forget I'm wearing a sweat band; when the sweat channels off the side I barely notice. The first few times I wore it I would touch the side of my face because I didn't feel like I was sweating. However, if you do something that doesn't allow for you head to be up most of the time, the gutr may not work. A couple times using the gutr I would look down at something and some sweat would spill out. Not a big deal, but if your head is down a lot the gutr might be counter-productive.

Sweat Gutr and Golf 5 by .. William L. Johnson (Charlotte, NC)
I bought 2 of these a couple of years ago to keep sweat out of my eyes (I wear glasses) while running on a treadmill and around the neighborhood. Fantastic for that! I visited my family in South Florida in May; average temp in the low nineties and humidity at 80-90%. We were going out to play a round of golf in those conditions and I wanted to keep the sweat (salty water) out of my eyes and off my glasses. If you have ever wiped perspiration off your glasses with a handkerchief, you know that the salt gets spread all over the lenses and it's like walking around in a fog after that. BTW, ice water or a small ice cube seems to remove the salt from lenses just fine. Back to the golf; I put my sweat gutter on and pulled the back of it outside my golf cap (looks like a baseball cap). Played 18 holes with the humiture at or above 100 degrees and never had to wipe my glasses once. It is visible but not much. Vanity may rule but I'm not that vain. The perspiration that the gutr collects drains out the sides and down my temples. Having read other reviews, if you have a large head (hat size 7 3/8 or larger, it could drain into the corner of your eyes. Everything I've used it for is basically an upright activity. Those trying to use it while biking could end up with overflow that doesn't function like it does for my activities. The gap that exists between the bottom of the band and one's eyes does get perspiration on it but that small area is easy to handle with a microfiber cloth I carry in my golf bag. If your activities are upright in nature, this thing really does work. I just bought 2 more to keep in the golf bag. Cleaning is very easy. I put mine in a mesh bag, put it in the washer on gentle cycle and when it's done, hang to dry.

No Sweat & No Headache 5 by .. Jeffrey Guibord (Detroit, MI)
The GUTR is amazing. You hardly notice its on. Sweat rolls past my eyes and off my face. When taking it off after working out it's like the Hoover Dam for sweat.
