The Thule 589 Velo Vise Fork Mount Rooftop Bicycle Carrier provides you with a simple way to mount your bicycle to your roof, so that you can increase your riding time by decreasing the time wasted getting there. This lockable, quick-mounting fork bike carrier is designed for use with standard fork and brake set-ups, and requires the Xadapt1 to be used on an Aero bar.The Velo Vise fork-mount rooftop bike carrier has a self-centering skewer for quick and easy bike mounting, and an extra-wide skewer opening for clearing the forks' safety tabs. This bike carrier mounts to both square and round bars, and features a dual-lock design that locks both the bike to the carrier, and the carrier to your rooftop rack. Built to last, the fork block is constructed of glass-reinforced nylon, while the wheel tray is black polyester-powder painted, extruded aluminum, the skewers are stainless steel, and the hardware is all zinc-iron plated steel. This system weighs 4.3 pounds in total, fits both Thule and Yakima load bars, and is Thule One-Key System compatible so you can easily keep it locked and secure without a bunch of extra keys, though locks are not included.
