The steel support bar is an independent support system that does not interfere with brake cables or other attached bicycle gear. It can be used with mountain/city bikes with upright handlebars (with drop-handled racing handlebars, the rider leans forward too much for the child to sit comfortably). This bicyle seat is rediculous!! I bought this seat for my 2 year old who is very small for her age. Upon opening the box, I immediately realized there was no way any child bigger then say.... 25 lbs would fit in this thing. THEN, I went on to try and mount it onto my bycicle, and there was just no way no how. I have four very different bikes at my house, beach cruiser, womens mtn., mens mtn., and a tandum cruiser (nice bikes too, no junk) and this seat would not mount to any of them. I am going to return it to the store I bought it from and look for a better product :0).

I just got this for my 12 month old. He is 22 lbs and very average size, he fits perfectly. It installed well on my elecktra cruiser 7 but we had to switch the screws it came with so they were a bit longer in the back of the mounting bar. My son loves it and so do I, he is in my arms the whole time. I'm 5'9 and 135 lbs and my knees do not hit. I highly recommend this!!

I have a ful Suspention bike and I couldn't find a seat for it and I came a cross with this and is so far good a little hard to set up but my son love it he can see all the way like I do so is better for him so he doesn't get bored looking at my back so I think is pretty good and it feel good

Awesome seat, we bought it when our son was 12 months old, and we are still using it, and he is almost two. We all love the arrangement, for he is so involved in the ride, and we get to talk about all that we see. We use it so much that we wore out the straps. I contacted WeeRide, and they Fed-Exed me new ones, no questions asked. Awesome! I recomend this bike seat to everyone! Too much fun!
