Good basket

I needed a basket to carry my backpack (laptop, lunch, couple books) from home to the train and back. This definitely fits the bill. The mesh is stronger metal than I would have thought from the pictures, but it's definitely not indestructible - but you'd have to whack it pretty hard to bend it out of shape. The "handle" is pretty thin, but I have no plans on using this as a shopping basket - though, if you did, the handle should work for all but the heaviest items. The clip fits perfectly into the Topeak rack (explorer rack w/ disc brakes) I bought as well, and it's a pretty sturdy fit. All in all, it's a good basket for the money.

I use this basket for many uses. When I am carring a large load or grocery shopping. I took off the handle and got a small cargo net and attached it. That way I can put anyting in the basket and not loose my stuff.
When not using this basket I use the topeak bag. This is a great system and I get more use out of my bike. I like to do general riding and shopping on my bike.
I think this system is a great idea they came up with. I just love it.

If you are looking for a shopping basket, this one is as nice as it gets. The attachment system rocks. Only drawback as with any such basket is the high center of gravity.

Great addition to my biking needs. I was already using the Topeak clip-on briefcase for when I bike to work. The clip-on basket is an essential addition for recreational biking.

Bought basket because I was looking for something that could carry my laptop into class with me without having to wear a backpack. Of all the Topeak bags (besides the laptop bag which doesn't allow me to carry any other books) this basket carries it all. When you load up the basket, it does make the bike top heavy and a little harder to control, but you can load that thing up like it is nobodies business. Have used it for books, groceries, etc. Great carrying device for the price.
Con: Rattles a little but a piece of cardboard jammed in takes care of it.
