Works as advertised
by .. Eric (Shizuoka, Japan)
I am happy with these pedals, I have only had them in use for a couple of weeks so I don't yet have an idea of long term reliability. I replaced my previuos cheap basic pedals (which I bought to replace my cleat only pedals when I started commuting) with these when the old ones started getting really creaky. I have used both sides now. The platform side feels very nice, I like the rubber grippy part. Don't think that you won't be fumbling a little to get the right side of the pedal, since the platform is more massive it tends to end up pointing down. I am slowly working on my technique for getting the pedal flipped as I am starting off without thinking about it much. I have only used the clipless side once or twice, the pedals come with the hardware for your shoes. The stuff that was already on my shoes worked fine. The clipless side of the pedal worked fine with no adjustment. Getting clipped in (ie getting the shoe positioned and then clipped in) is harder than I remember, but I suspect that this is just a matter of getting used to a new pedal. Overall these guys work exactly as they should, but just realize it is a compromise so regardless of which side you are using that day there might be a little fumbling around. With that in mind, thumbs up!

I havent actually used the cleats yet, but having the option is awesome. The non cleat side is comfortable as it lacks the usual spikey protrusions you have on most pedals. The rubber makes the grip very secure. Great pedals.
Works great

These came on my tadpole trike. I had never used cleats before as I am pretty much just a casual rider who just lopes along. I wanted to hold position on the recumbent as your legs will move a bit. So I went and bought a pair of lake MTB shoes and tried them out. WOW what an improvement, I am much more secure in my position and comfortable on the ride. I like the larger pedal also.
Dual sided pedal

Good solid cheap pedal. Meets the needs of a daily commute or spirited ride. The dual side is super convenient as you do not need bike shoes for every ride. Clips work well enough for everyday use without much hassle and are adjustable for tension. very good buy
Great Pedals

My best source of product ratings come from Amazon. Even on large items I much prefer Amazon to Consumer Reports. Real Users - Real Opinions... As other reviewers have stated, They are really a good value for the money. I like having the ability to go clipless or no clips at all. I find the pedals are very easy to go from one side to the other. Very well built. I only wish that they would have included the yellow reflectors that most pedals come with. Because the reflectors are not included, I rate them a 4. I'd buy them again in a heart beat.
